ADVISORY COMMISSION ON RADIOACTIVE WASTE and DECOMISSIONING

The Advisory Commission on Radioactive Waste and Decommissioning is an appointed State commission charged with advising the Governor, the Legislature and other pertinent state agencies and entities on matters relating to radioactive waste management and provide information to the public and create opportunities for public input in order to facilitate public understanding of radioactive waste issues.

The Advisory Commission was terminated in accordance with 38 MRSA §1453-A subpart 7:

 

7. Repeal. This commission is subject to review and terminates in accordance with Title 3, chapter 35. The commission, unless granted an extension by law, is dissolved and terminates on June 30, 2006.[1999, c. 585, §3 (amd).]
